Product News from SMS CZ for the 2026 Season

The Czech manufacturer of soil tillage and grassland machinery, SMS CZ s.r.o., will introduce several major innovations in 2026 in response to the current needs of farmers. The key machine of the upcoming season will be the new self-loading transporter PORTO V18, capable of loading and transporting up to eighteen round bales with diameters up to 150 cm. Another new product will be a new generation of TITAN SIMPLE Cambridge rollers, including an expansion of working widths.

The new self-loading transporter PORTO V18 is structurally based on the earlier PORTO V15 model, but it can transport 3 more bales, for a total of 18. The modernised PORTO V18 has been designed to meet all European regulations. Bale collection and loading are carried out by a hydraulically controlled fork that is driven underneath the bale and performs a single operation to place it onto the loading platform. The platform is equipped with a hydraulic ram that pushes three loaded bales at a time toward the rear of the machine, freeing space for new bales. Unloading is done by sliding the bales off the platform using the ram. With the introduction of this new machine, SMS CZ responds to farmers’ long-term demand for a more powerful and efficient bale transport solution. Market launch is planned for mid-2026.

The TITAN SIMPLE Cambridge rollers will receive a new generation in 2026, along with an expanded working width from the original 6.3 m to 8.3 m. Like the original version, the upgraded model will be three-section and hydraulically foldable. The rollers will provide excellent ground contouring while ensuring convenient operation from the tractor cab. Farmers will surely appreciate the option of equipping the rollers with four different types of cast-iron rings of various shapes and diameters – C510/530, C610/630, Z500/550 and D540/570 – or a smooth roller with a 610 mm diameter that can additionally be filled with water. Axial tightening of segments on the shaft will be handled using the proven and unique TitanLock system developed by SMS CZ. A new option will be a hydraulically controlled levelling bar. TITAN SIMPLE is primarily used in pre-sowing tillage, for example after ploughing, but also for post-sowing seed rolling. Farmers can expect the new 6.3 m version in the first half of 2026, while the 8.3 m version will be launched in the autumn of the same year.

Product development does not end in Rokycany – work continues on the modernisation of the SMART seed drill. In 2026, a seeding unit with a capacity of 1100 litres is planned for installation. In the medium term, SMS CZ aims to expand the machine’s working width up to 6 m. These steps contribute to strengthening the company’s position in the segment of universal seed drills, where the Czech manufacturer intends to further develop its product portfolio.
