SMS Agro to Present the New SMART 400 Seed Drill in a World Premiere at Agritechnica
The Czech agricultural machinery manufacturer SMS CZ will once again take part in Agritechnica, the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural technology, held in Hannover. At booth E54 in Hall 11, the company will showcase four of its machines and celebrate the world premiere of the new SMART 400 seed drill. During the exhibition, which takes place from November 9 to 15, 2025, SMS CZ also aims to attract new business partners and expand its dealer network in Germany and other countries.

The main highlight of this year’s exhibition will be the SMART 400, a new universal pneumatic seed drill developed by SMS Agro. With a 4-meter working width, it combines high performance with a compact and practical design. The machine features a hydraulically folding frame, making transport and handling easier. Its shoe-type seeding systemensures precise seed placement and germination. Thanks to a modern modular seeding system, which allows farmers to select hopper capacities, fan types, and accessories according to their needs, the SMART 400provides precise sowing of a wide range of seeds—from grasses to field crops. The machine is designed to offer maximum flexibility for farmers who need a versatile solution for different soil types and crops.
Alongside the premiere of the SMART 400, visitors can also look forward to the TALON GREEN, a deep subsoiler designed for the regeneration and aeration of grasslands to depths of up to 35 cm. Its robust construction and optimized tine geometry ensure gentle yet effective soil loosening without damaging the turf. TALON GREEN helps farmers achieve higher yields from meadows and pastures by improving water management and overall soil health.
Another machine on display will be the GOLEM 540 grass roller, one of the largest models on the market. With a 5.4-meter working width and the option to add water ballast up to a total weight of 11 tons, it delivers exceptional efficiency in grassland maintenance.
The fourth exhibit will be the FINISHER 400, a 4-meter combined cultivator that performs several soil operations in a single pass. The front disc section handles shallow stubble cultivation and residue cutting, followed by three rows of tines for deep soil processing up to 35 cm. A leveling section with levelling springs or discs ensures an even surface, and a rear roller completes the process by firming the soil. Thanks to its high weight and modern design, the FINISHER 400 enables medium-deep soil preparation in just one pass, saving both time and costs.
In addition to these technical innovations, SMS CZ has also prepared a competition for booth visitors – everyone who stops by the stand can win a professional Milwaukee cordless impact wrench worth 600 EUR. The contest aims to attract visitors interested in SMS Agro machines and make their visit to the booth even more enjoyable.
